My husband of 30 years sometimes calls me "DirtMom," which he says is less formal than EarthMother. I have been known to hug a tree now and again. Life is such a huge blessing that I cherish every moment and try not to take anything for granted. My main desire is to know how the universe works. Not such a big deal, right? ;-) We lived in Spain for six years, where my son was born, and I've traveled in Europe, Africa, and practically all 50 U.S. states. I used to run World Community Forum on CompuServe. I speak or read upwards of six languages. I think everyone is entitled to their thoughts, actions, ideas, politics, and religions, and am disappointed at intolerance. Oh, and I'm told I look much younger than my years. That runs in the family. Yay!

I'm a cancer survivor. In my seventh year of remission. Living with degenerative arthritis and other physical/medical challenges, I am mostly bedbound. My laptop and words are my door into the rest of the universe. I write because I cannot help but write...it's a disease. It's a disease I can live with happily.
